Reference Librarians and Writing Consultants will be available in the Kirkhof Center during National Library Week. Help will be available from 2 – 4 p.m., Monday, April 3 – Thursday, April 6 in the Kirkhof Center Lobby.
You can now check out laptops for use in the Zumberge Library. We have been making some laptops available for the past few months, but we now have new laptops that allow you to print and access your N: drive from anywhere in the building.
The laptops are available at the Circulation Desk in Zumberge and can be checked out for two hours at a time with a student ID.
The library recently acquired two new online resources that will be of interest to many in the humanities: Short Story Index and Play Index. These resources, along with Literature Resource Center, Literature Online (LION) and the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) Online, are part of our growing collection of online literature resources.
Play Index includes citations for more than 30,000 plays published since 1949. The database includes detailed information for finding the play and links to plays available online.
In Short Story Index you can find more than 72,000 short stories in 4,200 anthologies, and 12,000 stories from periodicals. Users can also access the full text of more than 3,000 stories online. Coverage of this database is back to 1984. The library will be retaining the print Short Story Index for those years prior to 1984.
Beginning March 3 the University Libraries’ hours will change for spring break. Regular Winter Semester hours will resume on March 13. Follow the links below to see the hours at the different locations.
